Intercom

Intercom adds live chat and messaging to your Orderain store so you can answer questions in real time and help shoppers before and after they buy. Add your workspace ID and a chat widget appears on your storefront, connecting customers to your team or automated bots.

Shoppers can start a conversation from any page, and your team replies from the Intercom inbox. Answering a sizing or shipping question at the right moment often turns a hesitant visitor into a buyer.

Step 1: Go to intercom.com and create an account (or sign in if you already have one).

Step 2: Find your Workspace ID. Look at your Intercom browser address bar, the short code right after /apps/ is your Workspace ID. For example, in app.intercom.com/a/apps/pv3qlh25/ the Workspace ID is pv3qlh25. Copy it.

Step 3: In Intercom, open Settings → Channels → Messenger → Install tab.

Step 4: Switch on Enable the Messenger API. This is off by default, and the chat bubble will not show on your store until it is on.

Step 5: In your Orderain Dashboard, go to Shop → Plugins and click Intercom.

Step 6: Paste your Workspace ID into the field.

Step 7: Click Save.

Step 8: Open your storefront. The Intercom chat bubble appears in the corner, and messages land in your Intercom inbox. You are done.
