About this plugin

Meta Catalog connects your Orderain store to Facebook and Instagram. It gives you one product feed link that Meta reads on a schedule, so your catalog appears on your Facebook Shop, your Instagram Shopping tab, and in the dynamic product ads you run across both apps.

You do not re-type products or export spreadsheets by hand. Turn the plugin on, copy your feed link into Meta Commerce Manager once, and set it to refresh daily. From then on, when you add a product it shows up in your Meta catalog on the next refresh. When something sells out, Meta marks it out of stock and stops advertising it. When you change a price, the ad shows the new price. Your store stays the source of truth and Meta stays in step.

Installation guide

Step 1: Turn on Enable feed, then click Install.

Step 2: Click Copy next to the Feed URL that appears. You will paste it into Meta shortly.

Step 3: Go to business.facebook.com and sign in. You need a Facebook Page and a free Meta Business account first.

Step 4: In the left sidebar, click All tools, then click Commerce Manager.

Step 5: On the Commerce Manager start page, click Add products.

Step 6: For product type, choose Online products.

Step 7: Leave Connect to a partner platform turned off.

Step 8: Give your catalogue a name, then click Next.

Step 9: Choose Upload a data file, then click Next.

Step 10: Select Use a URL or Google Sheets. Do not pick Upload from your computer, it will not stay in sync.

Step 11: Paste your Feed URL into the box. Leave the username and password blank.

Step 12: Set the update schedule to Daily, choose your currency, then click Next to finish.
